In practice, you can offer online services such as second professional opinions, medical record reviews, and recovery support guidance consultations. When clinically appropriate, you may also receive patients at your NHS Trust, private hospital, or clinic for in-person evaluation and care.

II. BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• GMC-registered Consultant Addiction Psychiatrist (or Psychiatry with Addiction Psychiatry subspecialty) with a valid licence to practise and relevant professional certifications (e.g., RCPsych or equivalent).

• Proven experience in addiction medicine, substance use disorders, dual diagnosis, and recovery-oriented care.

• Excellent empathetic communication skills with patients and families.
